Terms And Conditions
- Payment in full is required upon reservation. License and insurance must be verified before handoff.
- A $500 security deposit hold will be placed on your payment method 24 hours before pickup. Certain vehicles require a $1,000 deposit — including Cybertrucks, Plaid models, Rivians, Lucids, and rentals over 30 days. This is a temporary hold, not a charge, and may be applied toward any amounts owed under this Agreement. The hold will be released within 5 business days after safe return of the Vehicle, provided no additional charges are owed.
- Your rental includes 300 miles/day, calculated across the full trip. Excess miles are charged at $0.85/mile.
- You assume full financial responsibility for the Vehicle and any third-party damages during your trip, except as otherwise provided in this Agreement. No smoking or pets; violations are subject to fees per Paragraph 7.
- You must demonstrate sufficient insurance coverage for the Vehicle for its actual cash value. You may provide your own insurance, subject to our approval, or purchase a Protection Plan at checkout. Insurance is not required to be purchased from us.
- Failure to pick up the Vehicle within 6 hours of the reservation start time will result in a no-show with no refund.
- We reserve the right to decline any rental; if declined, all payments will be refunded in full.
- Cancellation.
- Refundable Bookings: Free cancellation up to 1 hour before your trip start time. Cancellations within 1 hour of start or no-shows are not eligible for a refund. Shortened trips are refunded as Eon credit for unused days; discounts will be recalculated.
- Non-Refundable Bookings: Free cancellation within 1 hour of booking. After the 1-hour grace period, no refunds, cancellations, or trip shortenings are permitted. Non-Refundable bookings are priced at a discount.
- Within the free cancellation windows, refunds are issued to Eon credit or your original payment method, at your choice. Subscription cancellations are governed by the Subscription Services section of this Agreement.
- SMS Messaging Terms. When you provide your mobile number during account signup, you agree to receive transactional text messages from Eon related to your bookings, account, and customer support (for example: reservation confirmations, pickup and return coordination, account verification, and support follow-ups). Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Reply STOP to opt out at any time; reply HELP for help or contact support@eonrides.com. Marketing text messages require separate, optional consent and are not a condition of using the Services. Your mobile number, SMS opt-in status, and SMS consent information will not be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions
Definitions. "Agreement" means all terms and conditions in this document and any documents incorporated by reference. "You" or "your" means the renter, any signer, any Authorized Driver, and any person to whom charges are billed at your direction; all are jointly and severally bound. "We," "our," or "us" means Eon Technologies Inc. (formerly Fleetr, Inc.), DBA Eon. "Authorized Driver" means the renter and any additional driver listed on this Agreement with a valid driver's license, age 21 or older. "Vehicle" means the automobile identified in this Agreement and any substitute, including all accessories, equipment, keys, and documents. "CDW" means Collision Damage Waiver.
- Rental, Indemnity, and Warranties. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from all verifiable claims, liability, costs, and reasonable attorney fees arising from this rental, except to the extent arising from our negligence or willful misconduct. We make no warranties, express, implied, or apparent, regarding the Vehicle, including no warranty of merchantability.
- Condition and Return of Vehicle. You must return the Vehicle to the location we specify on the date and time specified, in the same condition you received it except for ordinary wear and tear. Unauthorized service or parts replacement voids coverage. We may repossess the Vehicle at your expense if it is abandoned or used in violation of this Agreement.
- Responsibility for Damage or Loss. You are responsible for all verifiable damage to the Vehicle (including repair costs or actual cash value if not repairable), missing equipment, loss-of-use damages at the daily rental rate for each day the Vehicle is unavailable due to damage or loss from your use, and administrative expenses per applicable state law. You are responsible for loss due to theft and all vandalism damage connected with theft if you fail to exercise ordinary care. For vandalism not associated with theft, you are responsible for full repair costs except where limited by state law.
- Accident Reporting and Cooperation. You must report any accident, damage, theft, or vandalism to us and the police within 24 hours. You agree to cooperate fully with all claims investigations, provide truthful statements, and not admit fault to any third party without our prior written consent. Failure to cooperate may result in denial of Protection Plan coverage.
- Prohibited Uses. The following uses are strictly prohibited. Any Prohibited Use automatically voids all coverage, makes you fully liable, and may result in rental termination, account suspension, and penalty fees per Paragraph 7.
- (a) Unauthorized Drivers or Transfer. Permitting any unauthorized person to operate or possess the Vehicle, with or without compensation.
- (b) Impaired Driving. Operating the Vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance, in violation of applicable law.
- (c) Racing and Performance Testing. Any speed test, race, autocross, track day, rally, contest, exhibition, stunt driving, or driver training activity.
- (d) Off-Roading and Unsuitable Conditions. Operating the Vehicle on any unpaved, undeveloped, or unimproved surface not intended for passenger vehicles, or in conditions unsuitable for the vehicle type. Penalty fees apply per Paragraph 7.
- (e) Commercial Use. Any commercial hire, including ride-hailing, delivery, taxi, or limousine services, or any use transporting passengers or goods for compensation.
- (f) Towing. Towing, pushing, or propelling any trailer, vehicle, or object.
- (g) International Travel and Hazardous Materials. Operating the Vehicle outside the U.S. and Canada; driving into Mexico is prohibited. Transporting any flammable, toxic, dangerous, or illegal substance, except sealed fuel containers for personal recreational equipment stored in the trunk.
- (h) Illegal Activity. Any conduct that could be charged as a criminal offense.
- (i) Smoking, Pets, and Animals. Smoking, vaping, or any tobacco/cannabis use inside the Vehicle. Transporting pets or animals except service animals required by law (cleaning fees may apply). Penalty fees apply per Paragraph 7.
- (j) Vehicle Neglect and Overloading. Leaving the Vehicle running, unlocked, or keys unsecured. Operating when dashboard warnings indicate unsafe conditions. Failing to use reasonable care to protect the Vehicle. Loading beyond manufacturer-rated capacity.
- (k) Battery Abuse. Depleting the battery below 10 miles of range or to 0%. Depleting to 0 may cause lasting damage and will result in forfeiture of your security deposit.

- CDW & Liability Coverage Exclusions. If you purchase CDW, we waive our right to collect for Vehicle damage over your stated deductible. If your Plan includes liability coverage, it applies up to state minimum limits, subject to the same deductible. Coverage will not apply if: (a) you provided false information to us or about damage; (b) an unauthorized person operated the Vehicle; (c) provided us with false or incorrect information that would have prevented us from renting to you; or (d) damage results from any Prohibited Use.
- Insurance & Protection Plans. You are responsible for all damage or loss you cause to others. You agree to provide or obtain auto liability, collision, and comprehensive insurance covering you, us, and the Vehicle.Protection Plans are optional and offered at checkout; rates are based on the pre-discounted daily rate and selected tier:
- No Protection — No coverage provided. Proof of your own insurance required.
- Minimum Protection — Liability coverage up to state minimums, $500 deductible. No collision coverage; you must provide your own.
- Standard Protection — Liability and collision coverage, each with $500 deductible.
- Premium Protection — Liability and collision coverage, each with $500 deductible, plus glass and tire, 24/7 roadside assistance, and personal belongings theft protection.
- Charges. You will pay all charges due under this Agreement, including but not limited to: (a) time and mileage; (b) charging and fuel costs; (c) applicable taxes; (d) vehicle recovery expenses; (e) collection and attorney fees; (f) 2% late payment fee on past-due amounts; (g) $50 or legal maximum for bad checks; (h) up to $350 cleaning fee; (i) $50/hour late return fee; (j) $500 smoking penalty; (k) $500 off-roading penalty; (l) $30/day young driver fee (ages 21–24); (m) $100 USB memory stick replacement (tampering, removal, or loss of sentry mode/dashcam storage device).
- Tolls. Billed at plate rate plus $1.50 per transaction.
- Violations. Processed upon receipt plus $50 per violation. Charges may be applied after the rental ends.
- Chargebacks. If you initiate a chargeback for any valid charge, you agree to pay all incidental collection, processing, and third-party fees. Delinquent accounts may be referred to collections and reported to credit bureaus.
- Payment Authorization. By providing a payment method, you authorize Eon to store your credentials and charge any payment method on file for any amounts owed, during or after the rental period, with no time limitation. Authorized charges include but are not limited to: (a) damage claims and repairs; (b) citations and violations; (c) tolls; (d) excess mileage; (e) charging fees; (f) late return fees; (g) cleaning fees; (h) smoking penalties; (i) towing, storage, and impound; (j) equipment replacement; (k) rental balance adjustments; and (l) any other fees under this Agreement.Our processors may automatically update stored credentials when you receive a new card. We will employ all legal methods to collect amounts due per Paragraph 14.
- Delivery and Pickup. Delivery fees are non-refundable once dispatched. Incorrect address or failure to take possession does not relieve you of delivery fees.
- Your Property. You release us from all claims for loss of or damage to personal property left in the Vehicle or our facilities.
- Breach. Any Prohibited Use is an immediate breach with no cure period. For other breaches, we will provide written notice and reasonable opportunity to cure.
- Modifications. No term may be waived or modified except in writing signed by us. This Agreement is the entire agreement; all prior representations are void.
- Governing Law. This Agreement is governed by New York law, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of the rental state or your home state provide non-waivable rights. A waiver of any breach is not a waiver of any other. Unless prohibited by law, each party releases the other from consequential, special, or punitive damages. Unenforceable provisions do not affect remaining provisions.
- Telematics, Electronic Signatures, and Collections. You consent that vehicles may be equipped with GPS and telematics recording location, speed, battery usage, mileage, and driving behavior for vehicle recovery, safety, claims investigation, and service improvement. See our Privacy Policy. This Agreement may be executed by electronic signature with the same legal force as a handwritten signature.
I understand that if I have an unpaid balance to Eon and do not make satisfactory payment arrangements, my account may be placed with an external collection agency. I will be responsible for the collection agency fee (up to 35% of the debt) and all collection costs and attorney's fees. I agree that Eon and its designated collection agency are authorized to (i) contact me by telephone, including wireless numbers, (ii) contact me by text or email, and (iii) use pre-recorded messages and/or automatic dialing devices. I consent to the collection agency sharing my contact and account information with third-party vendors for account-related communications.
Autonomous and Semi-Autonomous Driving Disclaimer
Certain Eon vehicles may be equipped with autonomous or semi-autonomous driver assistance features, such as Tesla FSD (collectively, "Autonomous Features"). These are assistance technologies only and do not make the vehicle fully autonomous.
You are solely responsible at all times for remaining alert, maintaining control, and complying with all laws and manufacturer instructions. You acknowledge inherent risks including software malfunctions, system limitations, and unexpected disengagement, and assume all risk of injury, death, or property damage from their use or misuse. You shall indemnify Eon from all claims arising from your use of Autonomous Features. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eon disclaims all liability for loss, injury, or death related to Autonomous Features.
Subscription Services
- Deposit. $1,000 (weekly/monthly) or $1,500 (6+ months), authorized before handoff, separate from initiation fee, returned upon safe return.
- Initiation Fee. $99, non-refundable. If a promotional waiver is applied and you cancel before the first rental period start date, the full $99 will be charged.
- Mileage. 250 miles/week or 1,000 miles/month base allowance, adjustable in the Eon app or via support. Overage: $0.50/mile (subscription only; standard rentals per Rental Terms above).
- Payment & Renewal. Due every 7 or 30 days, billed 3 days before the next period. Auto-renews unless canceled.
- Maintenance. Routine maintenance included. Assistance at our direction is compensated at two prorated rental days per day. You remain liable for non-maintenance damages.
- Cancellation. 15-day notice for monthly/6+ month; 7-day for weekly. Short notice incurs $99 fee, separate from initiation fee. Ending a 6+ month plan early reverts pricing to monthly; the difference is withheld from your deposit.
- Your subscription is a recurring rental agreement subject to all terms herein.
Car Conditions — Your Rights Before Pickup
Before unlocking, check tires, interior cleanliness, and cosmetic damage. Contact support immediately for covered issues.
- Covered Issues: Unsafe tires, major body damage not previously noted, safety issues. We'll offer a replacement or full refund plus $50 credit.
- Not Covered — But We've Got You: Battery under 70%: $25 supercharging credit. Interior mildly dirty: contact support for a possible discount. Exterior dirty: $25 credit with photo confirmation. Canceling despite credits does not qualify for a full refund.
- By unlocking, you confirm you've reviewed the condition, accept it as-is, and understand your refund eligibility.
